Digestive Health Alliance (DHA) is the grassroots arm of the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

 

Meet the Staff
Nancy Norton, IFFGD Founder, President
Nancy Norton, IFFGD Founder, President Nancy Norton is a prominent advocate for the study and treatment of functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders (FGIMDs). On behalf of IFFGD, she organizes the biennial International Symposium on Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, a forum for international experts. Nancy serves on health advisory councils for professional societies and federal agencies. She has provided testimony to the Food and Drug Administration as well as U.S. Senate and House of Representatives subcommittees on health appropriations. 
 
 
William Norton, IFFGD Co-founder, Vice President
Bill Norton is the Communications Director for IFFGD charged with providing the foundation¹s education and awareness materials in print and online. His activities include growing IFFGD's research support initiatives and advocacy efforts aimed at Congressional support for functional GI and motility disorders research. Bill has provided testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education.
 
 
Selena La Porte, Development Administrator
Selena La Porte is your primary contact for anything to do with fundraising. She comes to the DHA as a recent graduate from Marquette University with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine, and she has extensive experience in public health and fundraising. Selena is here to help you plan and execute your event,  as well as answer questions you have regarding any DHA event. In addition, Selena also serves at the Assistant Editor for IFFGD's quarterly publication, Digestive Health Matters.
 
 
Elisabeth Vink, Program Assistant
Elisabeth Vink is your primary contact for advocacy. She comes to the DHA with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Mount St. Mary's University. Elisabeth has experience in political organizing, as well as legislative experience on Capitol Hill. She is your go to person for help reaching out to your elected officials about functional GI and motility disorders.
 
 
 
Susan Schneck, Program Specialist
Susan Schneck provides technical and end-user support for the DHA site. She has a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of California at Davis and is a former research assistant at the UNC Center for Functional GI and Motility Disorders. With over 10 years of experience in the field of FGIMDs, she can help with any other questions that you have.
